My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feedforward. Other times I will share my final published pieces.

Ahoy Waitangi
A moment in time
Crunch splash flip turn I can feel the salt air turning me green. Pssshs goes the water, I could feel the salt water going in my mouth, Yuk! Turn, jump, splash, oh no help. We rode all the way to Paihia looking at the glossy water as we break the surface. Suddenly we appear by the ship. Oh no we’re getting closer and closer. Then we smashed into the ship with a bang. Ok let's move away. Ok off we go again jolting past the GIANT navy ship, saying to myself, “please don't flip.” Then I actually found this very fun jumping over waves and racing other boats and watching dolphins jumping in the sky then disappearing into the vast blue sea.

Ka rawe Izaak! I loved reading your moment in time. The descriptive words you used helped me to paint a picture in my head of what was actually happening when you were on the ship.
